Terms, Conditions and Cancellation
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your registration, you must write to alzheimers@verve.co.nz by 13 September 2024. Cancellations received in writing before this date will be eligible for a refund of your registration fee minus an administration fee of NZ$30+GST. Please note that refunds may not be able to be processed until after the conference is held. Cancellations received after 13 September 2024, or failure to attend the event, are not eligible for a refund.
Alzheimers New Zealand and Verve reserve the right to cancel registrations at their discretion, including those that do not appear to be genuine.
COVID-19
Alzheimers New Zealand and the event managers will take all steps recommended by the New Zealand government but accept no responsibility should an outbreak of COVID 19 result from the event.
Should the Government impose restrictions for in-person events at any particular time or region, Alzheimers New Zealand may determine to run the entire event online. By registering for this event, you acknowledge and accept this possibility and accept that this is not valid grounds for requesting a refund.
By registering for the Conference you agree that the information provided in your registration can be used for COVID-19 contact tracing if necessary.
You should not attend the Conference if you are unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms or if you need to be in isolation for any reason. Please refer to the COVID-19 website for details about the current alert level.
Event changes, postponement or cancellation
It may be necessary for Alzheimers New Zealand to alter the times, dates, itineraries or speakers of the conference at any time. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the conference, the maximum liability of Alzheimers New Zealand is limited to a refund of the conference registration fee with no additional liability for travel costs, hotel costs, or any other costs or expenses.
Dietary requirements
Please advise us of any food allergies or dietary restriction at the time of registering. We will work with the caterer to provide any dietary requirements where possible. However, Alzheimers New Zealand is unable to guarantee that all dietary requirements will be able to be catered for.
Photography and videography
By taking part in the Conference you grant Alzheimers New Zealand full rights to use the images resulting from any photography or videography, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the organisation’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
Force majeure
Alzheimers New Zealand shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, pandemic, the availability of the Venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without the fault or negligence of Alzheimers New Zealand or its subcontractors. For one or more of such reasons, Alzheimers New Zealand may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of Alzheimers New Zealand. If the Conference cannot be held or postponed pursuant to this section, Alzheimers New Zealand nor its subcontractos shall not be liable to attendees for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.
Billing
Verve Consulting Ltd, trading as Verve, are event managers for Alzheimers New Zealand. The name that will appear on your credit card statement is Verve. Verve is a New Zealand owned business and all transactions will be billed in New Zealand dollars.
Privacy
We collect personal information when you register for the Conference. We collect this information to facilitate, manage and run the event. We may disclose such information to third parties, such as agents, contractors, and service providers to facilitate, manage and run our Events. We may also use and disclose this information to sponsors and partners. During the registration process, you have the option to opt out of sharing your information with sponsors and partners.
We will also collect this information if you provide us with the names and contact details of any other people you are registering for. You promise that you have their permission to provide us with this information and for us to use it for this purpose.
